Mr Chander Agarwal is serving as the Managing Director of TCIEXPRESS. He is responsible for the strategic development and financial direction of the company. TCIEXPRESS is Publicly listed on both the National Stock Exchange and the Bombay Stock Exchange and is India's Number 1 and fastest-growing express delivery company. Under Mr Agarwal's leadership, TCIEXPRESS is on track to increase its delivery and pick-up locations from 40,000 to 60,000 across India. His growth plans will also see the company expand the number of its local branches from 1,000 to 1,500 over the next two years. He was in charge of taking TCIEXPRESS public in 2017; since then, the company has been on a steady growth path.
He has a wealth of experience in international business, epitomised by his instrumental role in establishing TCIEXPRESS's global footprint, including in emerging economies such as Singapore, Brazil, Indonesia and Africa.
Mr Agarwal sits on the Board of the Express Industry Council of India (EICI) as a management committee member and has played an important role in bringing relevant changes to the logistics industry in India by lobbying the government. His dedication to the logistics industry has won him an array of awards and nominations, including the ET Business Leader 2024, Team Marksmen’s Influential Leader of India 2023, The Economic Times Most Promising Business Leader of Asia 2022-23, Asia One Asia’s Greatest Leader for Sustainable Practices 2023, and Asia One Youth Icon of the Year 2022-2023.
He has a bachelor's degree from Bryant College, Rhode Island, USA. He graduated from Harvard Business School's OPM program in March 2018. He has completed various executive management and finance programs at prestigious institutions across the world, including the National University of Singapore and INSEAD Business School. He has been an active member of the Entrepreneur Organisation since 2006.
His hands-on experience with Transfreight USA, a 3PL specialising in lean logistics, primarily for Toyota Motor Vehicles USA in 2001-2002, equipped him with an in-depth understanding and knowledge of the logistics business.
