Mr. Chander Agarwal is the Managing Director of TCI Express Limited. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Bryant College, USA, and completed the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School. He has over two decades of experience in transport, logistics and related activities.
Mr. Agarwal joined the TCI Group in 2002 and, during his tenure as Joint Managing Director of Transport Corporation of India Limited, played a pivotal leadership role across the Group’s diversified business verticals, including freight transportation, supply chain solutions, seaways and integrated logistics services, both in India and internationally. He was also instrumental in strengthening the Group’s international presence and expanding operations across overseas markets, including Singapore, Brazil, Indonesia and Africa.
In 2016, following the demerger of the express logistics business from TCI, Mr. Chander Agarwal assumed leadership of TCI Express Limited as its Managing Director and Promoter. He played a key role in establishing the Company as an independent listed entity and accrediting the express logistics industry as a pillar of the economy. Under his leadership, TCI Express has expanded its domestic network, technology-enabled infrastructure and international presence, while strengthening its operational capabilities and service offerings. He has been closely involved in driving the Company’s strategic expansion and building a strong foundation for sustainable long-term growth
Mr. Chander Agarwal is also associated with the management committees of various industry bodies and forums and contributes to initiatives aimed at the development of the logistics industry. His contribution and commitment to the sector have earned him several prestigious awards and recognitions.
